Checklist: DotNetNuke - Activate Remember Me

The Checkbox "Remeber Me" or "Remember Login" doesn't seem to work by default. Here's how to activate it.

Activating it with DNN 4.8.1 and higher
Starting with DNN 4.8.1 and higher, you can use two different timeouts - a standard timeout, and a longer "Remember Me" timeout. Found this here

Setup your forms tag so "normal" logins are 2 hours

Add the key to enable permanent login to 2 weeks

Option: Add sliding expiration - slidingExpiration="true"
This causes the expiration to be extended whenever the user comes back.

Older versions
Older versions of DNN only allow a single timeout value, so the cookie stays longer in all versions of the Remember Login
Set the forms tag to automatically extend ALL login cookies

This example extends it to two weeks
